Self-assessment, attitude and perception of interprofessional learning in hospital acquired infection control practices among health professionals in Klang Valley, Malaysia

Abstract Background Interprofessional learning (IPL) is a key challenge in Malaysia incorporating the current profession-specific medical education into interprofessional curriculum. Safe practices would be enhanced with improved collaboration among health professionals when they learn with, from, and about each other. The main objective of this study was to determine significant differences self-assessment, attitude, perception doctors nurses teaching hospital Klang Valley, Malaysia. second if there any difference selected demography factors, mean total scores between perceptions IPL aspects. Methods A (39) (37) were recruited for an interventional on approach acquired infection control. participants responded University West England (UWEIP) questionnaire at baseline consisting four dimensions aspects; Self-assessment communication teamwork skills (CTW), (IPL), interaction (IPI), relationship (IPR). Cronbach alpha value established 0.79. Results majority scored positive CTW, IPL, IPR, neutral IPI.
